2009 PAN African Awards for Entrepreneurship in Education
The 2009 PAN African Awards for Entrepreneurship in Education (PAN) is open to organizations based in Africa working at all levels of education, from primary through to tertiary, as well as in non-formal education. PAN will award a first prize of $10,000 and two runner-up prizes of $5,000, there are up to 50 awards of $1,000 for the best entry of each country. The top three award-winners will be sponsored a trip to South Africa for the awards presentation and peer learning visits to key Educating Africa and Teach A Man To Fish partners. E-mailed Applications – A downloadable form can be found on the competition website (as above). This form can be completed offline and sent as an attachment to an email to competition@teachamantofish.org.uk Postal Applications – Print off the downloadable form and fill it in by hand, then send via airmail post to: TEACHAMANTOFISH, 10 TOLLINGTON PARK, LONDON, N4 3QX, UNITED KINGDOM.
Deadline: All entries must be received by TeachAManToFish before the 31 December 2009.
Go Ingenuity Award, – note the deadline is December 1st, 2009 – so this prize is now closed.
Go Ingenuity Award
The GO Ingenuity Award (GIA) is awarded to artists, inventors, and small business entrepreneurs to stimulate the next generation of “makers.” Building on the momentum of Maker Faire Africa, GO Campaign will award one-year, one-time fellowship grants to individual applicants who are eager to share their skills with marginalized youth in developing countries in ways that educate and inspire youth to harness their own ingenuity.
