2013 saw Maker Faire Africa and its makers head abroad, to share their work, ideas and skills, through talks, exhibits and workshops they gave in Istanbul, Milan and New York City.  African Maker Culture was spreading; influencing designers and makers around the world.

Maker Faire Africa at the Istanbul Design Biennial.  MFA Makers displayed inventions and gave workshops to industrial design students.

Maker Faire Africa at AFROFUTURE in Milan, Italy.  MFA Makers gave talks and workshops on design and personal manufacturing, for the general public.

 

Maker Faire Africa at Ideas City in New York City.  MFA Makers exhibited their inventions as part of the ‘Adhocracy’ exhibit at The New Museum.
